Super Eagles defender Elderson Echiejile is confident Monaco can end their winless streak of four games in all competitions when they host Qarabag in Thursday's Europa League clash at the Louis II stadium.
Monaco are yet to win a game in the competition after two successive draws against Anderlecht and Tottenham Hotspur and three straight draws in Ligue 1, including the 1-1 draw against Olympique Lyonnais last weekend.
And the 27-year-old who is set to make his second appearance in the Europa League believes a win against Qarabag could kick-start a good run of wins for the club.
"We've had too many draws but all that can be history if we beat Qarabag to brighten our chances of qualifying from our group," he began in a chat with Completesportsnigeria.com
"We have the quality to earn our first win in the competition in this game."
Monaco are currently third in group J with two points and Echiejile is banking on his team's home form having lost just once in their last 13 European home games.
"We have a good record at home but we must win these games against Qarabag to ensure qualification," he added.
Echiejile has so far spent two seasons at Monaco having signed a four-and-a-half-year deal worth €1.9m in January 2014.
