Super Eagles defender, Efe Ambrose, has set his sights on winning the treble with Celtic this season.
According to Celtic's official website, Ambrose disclosed this ahead of Wednesday night's League Cup away clash against Juwon Oshaniwa's Hearts.
“We want to stay involved in all four trophies this season and if we can get the treble and qualify from the group stages it would be a great season for us.
“We have never won the treble in three seasons I have been here so that is my main target now. We have won all of the cups individually but to get all three in one season is our aim. It’s not an easy ambition but we believe we can do it in the squad.”
Celtic faced Hearts in both domestic cup competitions last season, winning both ties, and Ambrose is hoping for a third cup win over the Tynecastle side, who managed to secure a point in a goal-less draw at Celtic Park in the league earlier this season.
“We played a couple of games against Hearts in cup last season and we know how crucial this game is for us,” Ambrose said. “In the league you can get a point back if you lose but in the cup every match is like a final.
“We understand this mentality, though. We need to make sure we work hard as everyone wants to beat Celtic. We know what’s required of us when we put on the green-and-white of Celtic in any given game, and we are focused and determined to go all the way.”
Celtic currently top the league table on 29 points, while Hearts are third with 23 points.
