Rivers United coach Stanley Eguma has admitted he was disappointed to see his side go down to a 1-0 defeat against Nigeria Professional Football League title rivals Wikki Tourists in Bauchi but insisted that his team will continue their push for the title.
A late Christopher Waziri strike condemned the Pride of Rivers to another disappointing away defeat which came at a cost as they relinquished the leadership position to Enugu Rangers with two games remaining before the end of the campaign.
"We played very well but it was not to be in the end as they scored very late in the game," Eguma told Rivers United Media after the game at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium.
"We cannot complain, but we will continue to work hard to see that we achieve something positive at the end of the season."
The Port Harcourt-based side will host relegation battlers Abia Warriors at home this weekend before travelling to Uyo where they will face Akwa United in their final game of the campaign.
