Egwuekwe Scores On Debut In Finland

Nigeria defender, Azubuike Egwuekwe started his career in Finland on a bright note, scoring  on his debut for Kuopion Palloseura (KuPS) in their 3-0 win against Mikkeli in a cup game on Friday night, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The towering centre- back who was impressive in the encounter got his goal 12 minutes from time.

The former Warri Wolves player who was part of Nigeria's squad to the last World Cup in Brazil was recently cleared to play for the club following the issuance   of his international transfer certificate.

Gbolahan Salami and Paul Onobi have also been cleared to feature  for the top Finnish side  and are waiting to make their debut for the club.

Onobi was part of Nigeria's squad to the last African Nations Championship in Rwanda.
