Egypt striker, Ahmed 'Koka' Hassan, says the team will not rely only on the overseas-based stars to give them victory when they come up against Nigeria in Friday's 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier rather the collective effort of every player in the team, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The SC Braga forward alongside the quartet of Mohamed Salah, Mohamed Elneny, Mahmoud Trezeguet and Amr Warda are the only overseas- based players invited for the game by Pharaohs Argentine coach, Hector Cuper.
Koka said all the players in the team are important and have crucial roles to play in the double header.
"The team don't rely on foreign-based players, the team consists of 11 players," Koka told Sada El Balad channel.
"Players who play for the national team make every effort to represent their country in an honourable way."
The Pharaohs are top of Group G with six points, two more than the Super Eagles who are in second position with four points.
The second leg will hold next Tuesday in Alexandria.
