Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike fired blanks again Monday night in his club, Fenerbahce’s Super Lig clash against Bursaspor at the Sukru Saracoglu stadium in Istanbul.
The Nigerian, who seems to be surplus to requirements at the reigning Super Lig champions was on for only 46 minutes as he was replaced by Hasan Ali Kaldirim.
Emenike last scored for Fenerbahce on February 14,scoring the opening goal in Fenerbahce’s 5-0 away win at Gaziantespor.
That goal was his second of the year and fourth of the season following his strike on January 31 in another away win for Fenerbahce.
The former Spartak Moscow of Russia forward scored his team’s second and final goal on the night after a certain Selcuk Sahin had put the visitors ahead on seven minutes. Emenike would be hoping for better luck on Saturday when Fenerbahce host Balikesirspor in another Super Lig game.
