New signing Emmanuel Emenike is ineligible for West Ham’s Premier League home clash against against Aston Villa on Tuesday, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
According to a tweet from Jack Sullivan, son of the West Ham owner, David, the international clearance of the Fenerbahce loanee has not come through.
“Emenike can’t play on Tuesday because his international clearance hasn’t arrived,” Sullivan tweeted via his handle @jsullivanwhu.
The former Nigerian international who joined on a £730,000 loan deal from Fenerbahce has been handed the No.29 jersey at West Ham.
Emenike could join West Ham on a permanent deal from Fenerbahce for £8.1million, according to transfer reports.
