Ex-Super Eagles and Lille goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has expressed his disappointment at his team’s loss to Paris Saint Germain in Saturday’s French Coupe de la Ligue final, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Enyeama who made three stunning saves in the opening exchanges of the encounter before Lille began to settle into the game took to Instagram to applaud the club’ s fans who cheered the team on despite the defeat.
“Very disappointed with the result of the game on Saturday but I want to say thank you God and thank you to our amazing supporters.The support was massive. Proud to be a Lillios,” Enyeama posted via his wall on Instagram.
Javier Pastore gave the 10-man Paris Saint-Germain a first half lead but Djibril Sidibe restored parity for Frédéric Antonetti’s side four minute afterwards. But Angel Di Maria flicked the ball past the advancing Enyeama for the winner in the 74th minute.
