Enyimba Held By Rangers, Topple Sunshine

Enyimba failed to beat Oriental rivals Rangers on Sunday at the Enyimba Sports Stadium but still leapt to the summit of the Glo Premier League following a 1-1 draw in the matchday 20 fixture.
Rangers who lost the reverse fixture a forthnight ago in Enugu were determined to avenge that defeat and took the lead in the ninth minute through Onoriode Odah.
Enyimba, missing their talismanic forward Christain Obiozor, struggled to gain control of the game.
Handler of the side, Kadiri Ikhana, made a tactical change in the 33rd minute replacing Andrew Abalogu, who scored the winner when both teams last met, w8th last season’s topscorer, Mfom Udoh.

In Katsina, El-Kanemi beat 3SC 1-0 courtesy of a 65th minute strike by Abraham Audu.
Giwa FC also recorded a slim 1-0 win against Kwara United, while Akwa United scored a late goal to earn a point against Bayelsa United in Oghara.
The day’s other Oriental derby between Ifeanyi Ubah and Abia Warriors ended in a 1-1 draw.
