The match day 21 Nigeria Professional Football League game between Enyimba and Rivers United scheduled for Umuahia Township Stadium on Wednesday has been moved by 24 hours, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The match will now be played on Thursday at the same venue.
The shift in date was occasioned by another match day 21 fixture which involves Abia Warriors and Ikorodu United, also slated for same date and venue, a Rivers United email informed Completesportsnigeria.com on Tuesday.
The League Management Company, through Chief Operating Officer Salihu Abubakar, has since ratified the dates and venue of both games and communicated to the clubs involved.
"Yes, the match (against Enyimba) has been moved to Thursday June 9," Sammy Wejinya, spokesman of Rivers United confirmed.
"The League Management Company have informed us about the shift in date."
