By Adeboye Amosu:
Enyimba have completed the signing of Ahmed Kone from Burkinabe side AS Sonabel.
The right winger is the fourth player to link up with the Peoples Elephant during the mid-season tranfer window.
The six-time Glo Premier League champions announced the arrival of the 22-year old who was part of Sonabel’s CAF Confederation Cup campaign in 2014 on their Twitter handle on Wednesday after he completed his medical.
The Aba Elephant only this week acquired the services of former Flying Eagles goalkeeper Joshua Enaholo, Musa Najare and Alloy Browne.
They have also been linked with Togolese star Saibou Badarou who plays for their Oriental rivals, Heartland, as well as former striker Ifeanyi Ede who just returned to the country after a stint with a club in the Middle East.
Kone will hope to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Muri Ogunbiyi (Benin Republic) and Joetex Frimpong (Ghana) who made huge impact during their time at Enyimba.
The Kadiri Ikhana led side occupy the second position on the Glo Premier League log.
They will host fierce rivals, Rangers, at the Enyimba Sports Stadium when the league resumes from the two weeks mid-season break this weekend.
