Enyimba, Warri Wolves, Kano Pillars Join Alimi Chase

By Johnny Edward:

Glo Premier League champions, Enyimba of Aba, have joined Warri Wolves and Kano Pillars in the race to sign defender Jamiu Alimi for the forthcoming season, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.

The Westerlo Academy loanee at Shooting Stars last season has been outstanding for the home-based Super Eagles who qualified for next month's African Nations Championship in Rwanda in January and has attracted the interest of several b8g clubs.

"He's been courted by Enyimba, Pillars and Warri Wolves but I don't think he has made his mind up on where to play for next season," a source close to Alimi told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"His focus is to make the CHAN squad to prove his mettle."

Alimi is one of the 26 players called up for next week's camping for the competition scheduled to hold from January 16 to February 6 in Rwanda.
