By Adeboye Amosu:

Mfon Udoh has told that he is open to a return to his former club, Akwa United.

Akwa United will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup next season after winning a historic first Federation Cup last season.

Udoh scored 16 goals for the Uyo-based outfit in the 2012/2013 season, before moving on to join Enyimba the following season, where he bagged 23 goals, the highest tally by any individual in a single season in the Nigerian top flight.

The forward hinted that he is in talks with the club about a possible return, but stated nothing has been finalised yet.

“I’m open to making a return to Akwa United,” Udoh revealed to

“They (Akwa United) have already contacted me, but we are yet to reach a concrete agreement on the move.
“They still have to talk with my club (Enyimba) as I can’t move without their consent.”
