Estoril of Portugal midfielder Anderson Esiti is keen to feature for Nigeria’s Olympic team at Rio 2016 after being included in the country’s provisional squad for the Games, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The 21-year-old midfielder who has featured once for the Super Eagles in a 2017 African Nations Cup qualifier believes Nigeria is blessed with abundant talent at U-23 level and can finish in the medal zone at the Games.
“The competition for places in the team is going to be very tough because there are abundant talents at that age level,” Esiti told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“It’s the dream of every player to feature at the Olympic Games and I will be happy to make the final squad for the Games.”
“I’m confident I will make the squad.”
Esiti has played 23 times for Estoril this season.
