Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo believes the team can turn the tables on Egypt and win in Alexandria.
Etebo added that he would have preferred the three points in Friday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt in Kaduna to his goal in the encounter.
Etebo whose opener was cancelled out in stoppage time by Mohamed Salah told Completesportsnigeria.com that he wished his goal got coach Samson Siasia his first after returning to the team.
Etebo who made his second appearance for the senior national team in Kaduna is however confident that the Eagles will beat Egypt in Tuesday’s reverse fixture in Alexandria.
“I’m confident that we will win the reverse fixture. The group is becoming tougher and I’m sure we will qualify,” Etebo told Completesportsnigeria.com in Kaduna.
“To win the Egypt game was important but unfortunately we could only get a draw.
“As a team we were disappointed with the result. We know we can play a lot better than that.
“You can understand where the criticism is coming from, but the main aim was being ready for this game – and we’ll certainly be in Alexandra.”
