Oghenekaro Etebo is delighted to have scooped the most promising player award at the 2015 Glo/CAF Award, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Warri Wolves attacking midfielder beat his country man, Azubuike Okechukwu, and Malian youngster Adama Traore to the honour.
Etebo scored five goals to help the Nigeria U-23 side lift the AFCON title in Senegal and also secure a berth in the football event of the Rio 2016 Olympics.
He told Completesportsnigeria.com that he is delighted to be rewarded for his impressive showing at the competition.
"I'm really delighted to have won the award. It's a great honour to be recognised as the most promising talent on the continent," he told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"I'm looking forward to the next chapter in my life, which is moving abroad.
"Hopefully, I will actualize that by the end of January."
