Europa: Kayode, Ideye Score, Emenike Benched; Simon, Umar Progress

Former Nigerian youth international, Olanrewaju Kayode, was on song for his club Austrian Wien as they beat Rosenborg of Norway 2-1 in a Europa League, second leg qualifying fixture on Thursday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Kayode scored his side’s second goal of the evening as they progressed into the group stages on a 4-2 aggregate scoreline.
At the Georgios Karaiskaki Stadium Brown Ideye struck in the 114th minute as Olympiacos rallied back from a goal down to beat Portuguese side Arouca 2-1 to move into the next round 3-1 on aggregate.
In another fixture, Emmanuel Emenike was benched for 90 minutes in Fenerbache’s 2-0 win against Swiss side, Grasshoppers.
Fenerbache completed a double over the modest side having won the reverse fixture 3-0.
In another game in Turkey, Rio 2016 Olympics bronze medalist, Aminu Umar, was rushed back into action as his side Osmalispor edged out Denmark representatives FC Midtjylland 2-0.
Midtylland also paraded their Nigerian import Rilwan Hassan. His two other compatriots,Paul Onuachi and Babajide David Akintola, were not dressed for the game.
Osmalispor also did a double over the Danes following their 1-0 win in the first leg.
Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, was also in action for 90 minutes as his Belgian club Racing Genk moved into the group stages courtesy of a 4-2 aggregate win against Locomotiv Zagreb of Croatia. Genk won 2-0 on the night.
There was joy for another international, Moses Simon, as his team Gent trounced Shkendija 4-0.
Simon who fired blanks in the encounter was on from start to finish.
At the Allianz Stadium in Wien, Slovak side, AS Trencin, lost out of the competition despite securing a 2-0 win against home side Rapid Wien.
The duo of Aliko Bala and Maduka Udeh started the game for Trencin, while defender Kingsley Madu was introduced in the 64th minute.
Former Nigeria youth international, Rabiu Ibrahim, was not involved in the game.
