Europa League: Echiejile Goes Down With Monaco To Ezekiel’s Anderlecht

Super Eagles defender Elderson Echiejile was introduced for Lacina Traore in the 84th minute in AS Monaco's 2-0 home loss to Anderlecht in a Group G clash in the Europa League on Thursday.

Also in action was Imoh Ezekiel for Anderlecht. The former Standard Liege forward replaced Andy Najar in the 65th minute of the encounter.

Gillaume Gillet opened the scoring for Anderlecht on 45 minutes before Frank Acheampong sealed the win for the visitors with 12 minutes left.

In another Europa League clash, Nigerian striker Kehinde Fatai featured for Sparta Prague in their 1-0 win against Asteras Tripolis in Group K.

Fatai later came off for Tiemoko Konate with 10 minutes remaining in the match.

The only goal of the match was scored by Jakub Brabec in the 33rd minute.
