Europa: Ogu Scores As Be’er Sheva Crash

—Etuhu Advances With AIK

By James Agberebi:

Super Eagles midfielder, John Ogu, was on target for Hapoel Be’er Sheva but it was not enough as they crashed out of the Europa League after losing 2-1 to FC Thun.

Ogu put Hapoel ahead as early as the sixth minute but they had to play large parts of the game with 10 men following Shir Tzedek’ s 20th minute red card.

Thun took advantage of the dismissal as Nelson Ferreira drew them level in the 40th minute before he added another in the 72nd minute to secure a 3-2 aggregate win for the Swiss side.

Meanwhile, former Nigeria international, Dickson Etuhu, was in action for his Swedish side AIK, as they beat Shirak 2-0 away to qualify for the next round.

Etuhu, who featured for Fulham in the English Premier League, was on from the start of the match before he was replaced by Anton Joensson in the 59th minute.

AIK won the first leg 2-0, to bring the aggregate score to 4-0.
