Former Nigerian midfielder Christian Obodo is set for a hearing at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland in a case with his former club, Dinamo Minsk, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
The hearing of the case is slated for the 30th of March Completesportsnigeria.com
The Concordia Chiajna of Romania star dragged his former team Dinamo Minsk to CAS after the Belarusian team terminated his contract over what they termed "improper performance of contractual obligations".
Obodo joined Minsk in 2013 and spent eight months at the club, but failed to play an official game for the capital club in the Premier League as a result of injury, and the Nigerian is seeking redress over unpaid wages.
Obodo, 31, joined Italian side Perugia from local side Plateau United in 2001 and went on to play for Fiorentina, Udinese, Torino, Lecce, Xanthi and Olhanense.
He played for Nigeria at the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations and scored in their 2-0 win over Zimbabwe in the first round.
Obodo’s last appearance for the Super Eagles was in 2008 against Sierra Leone in a 2010 World Cup qualifier which he scored in their 4-1 win.
