Ex-Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze will be involved as the fortunes of some young Nigerian players may soon change as scouts from several foreign clubs are set to be in Umuahia, Abia State for the second edition of the Diamond Cup which holds from 5 December to 7 December.
The invitational tournament which is being organised by Diamond Football Academy will see 10 teams from across the country battle for honours in the presence of top scouts such as Simon Hunt from Britain, Graham Daniel Heydorn from Canada and Guissepe Spitali from Italy.
Diamond Academy is one of the foremost amateur clubs in Nigeria and is reputed to have produced players who have made the country proud, like Kelechi Nwakali and Chukwueze.The duo won top awards as Nigeria claimed the U-17 FIFA World Cup trophy in Chile.
