Ex-Flying Eagles Goalie, Thomas Joins Kano Pillars From Enyimba

By Adeboye Amosu:

Former Flying Eagles goalkeeper, Olufemi Thomas has dumped Enyimba for Nigeria Professional Football League rivals, Kano Pillars, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Thomas, a member of the home-based Super Eagles side that took part in the Africa Nations Championship earlier  this year in  Rwanda struggled to pin down a regular shirt at Enyimba last season after having to battle the trio of Theophilus Afelokhai, Moses Ocheje and Joshua Enaholo for a starting berth.

He played a key role for Enyimba in their title success  in the 2014/2015 season, but the arrival of Afelokhai from Pillars last season limited his appearance for the Peoples Elephant.

In Kano Pillars, the experienced goalkeeper will reunite with Kadiri Ikhana, his former coach at Enyimba.

The Sai Masu Gida are also close to signing Enyimba captain, Chinedu Udoji .

They have already  secured the services of highly rated defender, Idris Aloma from Rivers United.
