Former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo is scheduled to arrive in Kano Wednesday evening and is expected to start training with the Kano Pillars squad on Thursday morning, Completesportsnigeria.com can exclusively report.
Yobo signed up for the four-time league champions ahead of Akwa United, FC Ifeanyiubah and Wikki Tourists as the League Management Company, organisers of the Nigeria Professional Football League, struck a deal with the former Everton of England defender in the capacity of Elite Player as a means of promoting the domestic league.
Kano Pillars secretary Usman Sirajo told Completesportsnigeria.com Yobo’s Kano itinerary.
“Yes, Yobo is arriving today (Wednesday). He will be coming through Abuja and is likely be part of the training tomorrow morning,” Sirajo revealed exclusively to Completesportsnigeria.com.
Yobo is expected to make his Kano Pillars debut on Sunday when the Masu Gida side tackle Sunshine Stars of Akure in a match day 34 fixture at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.
