FA Charge Vardy, Leicester For Improper Conduct

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has been charged by the English Football Association for improper conduct following his sending off against West Ham on Sunday.

Also, Leicester City have been charged for not controlling their players after West Ham were awarded a penalty in the game which ended 2-2.

This was disclosed by the FA on their official website on Monday.

Vardy, who is joint-top scorer on 22 goals with Harry Kane, was shown a second yellow card for diving after coming in contact with Angelo Ogbonna.

A statement released by the FA reads: "Leicester City's Jamie Vardy has been charged with improper conduct for his behaviour following his second-half dismissal against West Ham United on Sunday 17 April 2016.

"Leicester have also been charged for failing to control their players following the awarding of an 83rd-minute penalty to West Ham.

"Both the player and the club have until 6pm on Thursday 21 April 2016 to reply to their charge."

  1. ALTHOUGH WHAT THE REFEREE DID WAS ANNOYING, AS PROFESSIONALS, VARDY AND THE REST OF THE LEICESTER PLAYERS SHOULD KNOW BETTER NOT TO DISPLAY THAT TYPE OF 'AGBORO' BEHAVIOUR AFTER THE MATCH. IT IS UNACCEPTABLE AND I CONDEMN THAT BEHAVIOUR TOO. I WILL PRAISE THE COACH WHO WAS CALM THROUGHOUT THE WAHALA AND EVEN WHEN THE PLAYERS WERE GOING TO THE REFEREE TO EXPRESS THEIR ANGER AFTER THE MATCH, HE DID NOT FOLLOW THE CROWD. A COACH LIKE MOURINHO WOULD HAVE EXPRESSED HIS ANGER OPENLY. CLAUDIO RANIERE IS AN EXPERIENCE COACH. HE EVEN REFUSED TO SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE REFEREE DURING THE POST MATCH INTERVIEW. PROFESSIONAL TO THE CORE. I KNOW THEY WILL DISCUSS THE HAPPENINGS TODAY AT THEIR TRAINING GROUND AND APPROPRIATE WARNINGS AND PERHAPS INHOUSE PUNISHMENT GIVEN. I JUST HOPE THAT THE CLUB WILL ACCEPTS THE CHARGE AND WISH THAT THE ONE MATCH BAN IS NOT INCREASED. LEICESTER IS GOING TO BE A CHAMPION AND THEY SHOULD BEHAVE LIKE CHAMPION TO BE.
