Championship side Reading have qualified for the quarter-finals of the Emirates FA Cup after they beat Victor Anichebe's West Bromwich Albion 3-1 in the fifth round clash at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday.
Anichebe who made his third FA Cup appearance for West Brom this season in the encounter came on for James McClean three minutes after Chelsea loanee Michael Hector had headed home Reading's second goal.
And with 15 minutes left to play, the former Everton star could not save his side from ending their poor run of not winning a game in their last five encounters at Reading.
West Brom who avoided an upset having needed penalties to see off League One Peterborough United in the previous round were left undone by second half goals from Paul McShane, Hector and Lucas Piazon.
Hector powered home a 72nd minute header to help his side back into the lead after Paul McShane's goal had cancelled out Darren Fletcher's 54th minute opener.
Piazon who had replaced Stephen Quinn in stoppage time however sealed Royals' quarter-finals
