FA Cup: Mikel Benched As Chelsea Edge Scunthorpe, Advance To 4th Round

Chelsea defeated Scunthorpe 2-0 in Sunday's Emirates FA Cup third round tie at the Stamford Bridge.

Diego Costa put Chelsea ahead in the 13th minute off an assist from Branislav Ivanovic.

Substitute Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who replaced Oscar, doubled Chelsea's lead in the 69th minute.

Nigerian midfielder John Mikel Obi, who has managed a few games under his belt since the appointment of Guus Hiddink, was an unused substitute.

The win sees Chelsea progress into the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup.

They will get to know their opponent when the draws is decided on Monday 11 January.
