Everton manager Roberto Martinez believes that Guus Hiddink's arrival at Chelsea has helped stabilise the club in the wake of Jose Mourinho's departure.
Everton will take on Chelsea, 6.30pm Nigerian time on Saturday in one of the quarter-finals of the English FA Cup.
And during his press conference on Thursday, Martinez highlighted the great work Hiddink has done at the club since his appointment as interim manager of the outgoing English champions.
"I am sure that Guus Hiddink's tactical experience from across the leagues has helped Chelsea and his knowledge of balancing dressing rooms has helped as well," said the Spaniard.
Martinez stressed that a match against Chelsea who on Wednesday were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League by PSG 4-2 on aggregate after a 2-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge is a tough one and said the Toffees will take the game cautiously.
"The opposition is as good as it gets. They are an experienced group who know how to win titles," he said in his Thursday's press conference via the club's Youtube channel.
"We are just going day by day and getting ready for the match on Saturday."
Martinez also informed that left-sided midfielder Bryan Oviedo could still play a part in the weekend's FA Cup tie despite being taken to hospital with a chest infection.
"He has reacted well and we hope to have him back with us tomorrow," said the Spaniard.
A message on the player's Twitter account reads thus:
"Thank you very much for your messages. I am hospitalized for bronchitis, but nothing serious. See you soon. #EFC #OviedoBaby."
Tom Cleverley and Aaron Lennon are also in contention to play for Everton in the match.Watch The Premier League Live!! with EXPRESSVPN the #1 Trusted Name in VPN
