Fanendo Adi Wins MLS Player Of The Month Award For April

Nigeria forward, Fanendo Adi has won the Etihad Airways Major League Soccer Player of The Month Award for  April, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The former Ukraine based striker scored three goals and provided one assist in five appearances for his MLS side, Portland Timbers in the month.

Adi scored two goals after coming  on as a second half substitute in the 3-1 win against San Jose Earthquakes on April 16.

A week earlier, he scored his side's only goal in their 1-1 draw against LA Galaxy.

His assist came in the 1-1 draw against New England Revolution on April 27.
He has already netted seven times in eight appearances for Portland Timbers this season.

The forward garnered 33.56 percent of the vote to beat other top contenders; Mexican forward, Giovani Dos Santos who plays for LA Galaxy, Sebastian Giovinco (Toronto FC), Chris Wondolowski of San Jose Earthquakes and Colorado Rapids midfielder, Jermaine Jones.
