Federation Cup: Rivers United Coach Eguma Fears 3SC

By Adeboye Amosu:

Rivers United head coach Stanley Eguma has warned his charges to be wary of Wednesday’s Federation Cup Round of 16 opponents Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
Eguma said it will be disastrous to underrate their opponent despite the Ibadan club’s struggles this season.
“It is another big game for us because Shooting Stars is another big name in Nigerian football,”declared the former Sharks coach.
“We cannot underestimate their strengths. They may not be in a very good position in the NPFL but the Federation Cup is a different ball game entirely.
“That is the reason why we have to be very well prepared and work above our capacity so that victory and nothing else comes our way.”
Rivers United beat amateur side Papilo FC 4-3, owned by Nwankwo Kanu, in a highly entertaining game in the previous round, while 3SC beat Almar FC 4-0.
The game is scheduled for 4pm at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
