Federation Cup: Katsina United Upset MFM; Akwa United, Rangers Win

MFM FC lost 1-0 against Katsina United 1-0 to become the latest Nigeria Professional Football League side to exit the Federation Cup in the round of 32, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Kano Pillars and Niger Tornadoes both failed to make it to the round of 16 on Wednesday after defeats against Prime FC of Oshogbo and Crown FC of Ogbomosho.
Ibrahim Suleiman scored the winning goal  for Katsina United in the 54th minute of the encounter.

Holders Akwa United advanced into the next round courtesy of a 1-0 win against Kwara United.
Cyril Olisema scored in the 17th minute to give the Promise Keepers the win.

They will play Sunshine Stars in the next round in Oleh.
Enugu Rangers are also through to the  round of 16 after edging out another National League side, ABS Football Club of Ilorin, at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi.

In Abuja, Plateau United beat Dreams  FC 3-0.
