Footballer Adam Johnson has been found guilty on one charge of sexual activity with a child by the Bradford Crown Court.
The former Manchester City star, who was sacked by Sunderland after admitting to grooming and kissing a 15-year-old girl, faces jail time when sentencing is done in two weeks' time.
The judge has warned that Sunderland, who is already on the sex offenders register, could be jailed for up to five years.
The ex-Sunderland star has however been cleared on one of the charges relating to the girl performing a sex act on him.
The judge said he would prefer a unanimous verdict on the second count but accepted a majority of 10-2 on the guilty verdict.
