Gabros International of Nnewi has contracted Bulgarian tactician, Mikto Dorbrev as the team aim for a glorious finish in their Premier League debut.
Dorbrev arrived in Nigeria Sunday and headed for Nnewi where he met with his new employer, Chief Gabriel Chukwuma, a former NFA Vice Chairman during the reign of Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima as Chairman.
Chukwuma handed the gaffer sweeping powers to run the team for maximum result.
Its Dorbrev’s second coming to Nigeria, having earlier in 2007/2008 taken charge at Heartland of Owerri, leading them a second place finish in final table with 63 points, one shy of winners, Kano Pillars.
Dorbrev began his Dorbrev regn on Monday afternoon when he watched the team in a trial match.
Chief Gabriel Chukwuma confirmed the hiring of the Bulgarian gaffer saying as experienced coach and having successfully worked in Nigeria, Dorbrev has all it takes to lead the team.
“We’re expecting a piece of continental football next year and this is why we contracted him and we believe he will deliver”, the Gabros boss said.
