Former world and Olympics 100m champion, Justin Gatlin of the USA, ran a new 9.74 seconds 100m world lead to break Nigerian Olusoji Fasuba's 9.85 seconds meeting record at the IAAF Diamond League meeting on Friday in Doha, Qatar.
Fasuba set the meIAAFeting record in 2005 and the mark remains the African record.
In the men's triple jump, Tosin Oke of Nigeria jumped 16.83m to finish sixth.
