Nigeria Golden Eaglets coach Manu Garba has stated that his team will only take the positives from their 2-1 loss to Diamond Football Academy on Wednesday ahead of next week's second leg Africa U-17 Cup of Nations qualifier against Niger Republic in Niamey.
The Eaglets won the first leg 1-0 in Abuja.
Captain Abduljabar Sani put the Eaglets ahead before goals from George Chukwuemeka and Ugonna Onwuamaeze sealed the win for Diamond Academy.
Reacting to the loss, Garba said the match was a good test for his side.
He went to express confidence that his team will prevail over Niger in Niamey.
"We have to take some positives away from the defeat to Diamond because they were forceful and they gave us stiff opposition," Garba told thenff.com.
"Though we lost 2-1, we were able to test some new players in different positions because we need to ascertain their fitness before picking the final team for the match against Niger.
"We still have work to do especially on the finishing line before the return leg in Niamey and by the grace of God, we shall come out unscathed and qualify for the next stage of the qualifying series.”4years ago My wife left me,because i was too WEAK in bed,but today she calls me Bed Champion. Now i finally discovered a Natural Solution that forces women to ask for more.
