Chelsea have announced a deal to extended Gary Cahill’s stay at the club until 2019.
The Premier League champions announced on their website on Wednesday that the England defender had signed a new four-year contract.
“Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce Gary Cahill has signed a new four-year contract, keeping him at Stamford Bridge until 2019,” Chelsea announced.
“The 29-year-old has become a key figure in the team since arriving from Bolton Wanderers in early 2012, lifting every major club honour in that time.”
Cahill said: “I’m really pleased to commit my future to Chelsea and it’s great the club has put their faith in me.
“I have achieved a lot here and I hope I can keep on learning, helping the team and lifting trophies over the next four years.”
Cahill has so far made 177 Chelsea appearances, scoring 15 times.
