Former Super Eagles defender, George Abbey, has congratulated the home-based Eagles for qualifying for next year's Championship for African Nations, holding in Rwanda.
The home-based Eagles held Burkina Faso to a 0-0 draw in Ouagadougou in the return leg of the CHAN qualifier on Sunday, to progress 2-0 on aggregate.
Reacting to the team's qualification, the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations bronze medal winner expressed optimism that the team will do well in Rwanda.
"Well done to Super Eagles on qualification to Rwanda 2016. I trust the boys to put on a good show next year #UpEagles," he wrote on his Twitter handle on Monday.
The home-based Eagles will be making their second appearance in the competition after debuting in 2014 in South Africa where they finished third.
