By Johnny Edward:
Isreali side, Hapoel Beer Sheva, will release Nigerian shot-stopper Austin Ejide at the end of the season, to free up space for another foreigner Nigerian Tony Nwakeme, CompleteSportsnigeria.com has reliably gathered.
Ejide who is considered by many as the best goalkeeper in the Isreal Ligat was a shadow of himself in the State Cup final where he conceded six goals as the Camels failed to win their first State Cup in 18 years, losing the final to Israeli champions Maccabi Tel Aviv 6-2.
Hapoel Beer Sheva have targeted Ironi Nir Ramat HaSharon goalie Itamar Nitzan as the possible replacement for the Nigerian shot-stopper who conceded three goals in Sunday’s loss to Ironi Kiryat Shmona, according to an Isreali report on sport5.co.il.
In all competitions this season, Ejide conceded 48 goals in 39 games.
