Heartland of Owerri captain, Chinedu Efugh will return to the starting line-up when his team confront Sharks this evening, June 28, after serving out a mandatory one match suspension, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Efugh nicknamed ‘Chicago’, played no part in Heartland’s 2-0 triumph over FC Taraba in one of the match day-13 games at Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri, last week having been cautioned twice previously.
But the former Mighty Jets and Enugu Rangers midfielder made stopgap manager, Bethel Orji’s 18-man party to Port Harcourt for today’s clash with the Blue Angels, Sharks, at the Liberation Stadium, Elekahia, Port Harcourt.
“Efugh has served out his mandatory one match suspension and he is part of the team that will play against Sharks in Port Harcourt on Sunday”, Cajetan Nkwopara, spokesman of the Naze Millionaires confirms Completesportsnigeria.com’s findings.
Both teams settled for a 1-1 draw when they met at Civic Center Stadium, Port Harcourt, Sharks traditional home ground.
The Garden City side were banished to Liberation Stadium, traditional home ground of sister club, Dolphins, in the aftermath of the incident that led to former manager, Gbenga Ogunbote walking out on the club.
Completesportsnigeria.com also reports that Heartland will be without defender Nelson Ogbonna in the game against Sharks.
Ogbonna suffered an undisclosed injury which rules him out of the match day-14 fixture.
