Heartland football club of Owerri have completed the signing of defensive midfielder, Emeka Atuloma who last season was on the payroll of Dolphins of Port Harcourt, Completesportsnigeria.com
Atuloma previously had spell at the Naze Millionaires before a move to the Garden City side four seasons ago.
He signed the contract papers on Friday at the club’s office at Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri, thus becoming the first signing of the club this term.
“We’ve signed Emeka Atuloma, a defensive midfielder from Dolphins,” Solomon Onu, image maker of Heartland, confirmed to Completesportsnigeria.com.
“He signed the contract papers in the presence of our new General Manager, Oscar Keke.
“It is a one year contract ” Onu said without disclosing the financial aspect of the deal.
Meanwhile, Heartland have told Oriental rivals, Enyimba, that striker Fortune Omoniwari is not for sale at any price, Completesportsnigeria.com
Omoniwari is currently in the Enyimba of Aba camp in Ota, preparing for their CAF Champions League campaign this term.
But the Owerri side insist they are not ready to part ways with their striker, insisting that he is not for sale at any price.
“We’re not ready to entertain any transfer talks as regards players we have not listed for the transfer market,” fumes an official of the club.
“Fortune Omoniwari is now training with Enyimba at their Ota camp. We did not list him for transfer. So he and Enyimba are wasting their time because we’re not selling any of our players except to foreign clubs,” Solomon Onu, spokesman of Heartland sounded.
