Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink has assured that the club's top scorer Diego Costa, who broke his nose in training, will feature for the Blues’in Saturday's Premier League home clash against Newcastle United.
The Spanish forward suffered the injury in a collision with a youth team player and could be Chelsea's fourth player to wear a mask this season following Cesar Azpilicueta, Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic.
"He put his nose on the back of the head and he was very unlucky. His nose was broken," Hiddink said during Friday'spress conference.
"He will return today, because today is the day they put on a mask. We are a team with a lot of masks.
“Also, where everyone was very critical of him, he's controlled himself very well and is focused on his job.
"It's important he's showing already, for weeks, that he's of big importance for the team."
Hiddink also informed that Alexandre Pato will not be available this weekend but hopes the Brazilian plays a part in Chelsea's home clash against Manchester City in the FA Cup next weekend.
He also revealed that the Kurt Zouma's absence will not have any effect on John Terry's future at the club. Hiddink also disclosed that he is not't scared to draft in youngsters into the squad.
“We have no fear of bringing youngsters in,” he added.
"Matt Miazga is ready.He is okay physically. But we will see what will happen next week. He is still a youngster.”
