Guus Hiddink has ruled new signing Alesandre Pato, Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy out of Chelsea’s Premier League clash against Manchester United.
Hiddink revealed in Friday’s pre-match press conference that his players are in good shape ahead of the United game, after their midweek tie against Watford.
He also disclosed that Pedro Rodriguez who has missed Chelsea’s last two league games, could make a return.
“The squad is looking okay after the midweek game,” he said. “The players have come back in and they seem to be very fit except for Falcao and Remy.
“Pedro was not in but he trained this morning and we will see how he will react. I don’t think there will be big problems.
“Remy will be involved next week.
“Pato is in his pre-season. We have made a training plan, which he is doing now. Most days he is training twice so he is getting his fitness but not full fitness. He needs to be fine tuned but we made a good plan. He will not be in the next few games.”
Hiddink also described his relationahip with Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal as a professional one. He says they have not met with great frequency.
He added that Chelsea have no knowledge of any interest in buying Oscar from China. This follows media reports suggesting there is.
