Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink has urged the club to to wrap up the appointment of Antonio Conte who is expected to take charge of the Blues on a long term basis after Euro 2016.
Chelsea opened talks with Conte's representatives earlier this month but are yet to confirm the Italian's appointment.
And Dutchman Hiddink says Chelsea can begin preparations for next term as soon as the appointment is announced.
“It is best for all parties to do it as soon as possible, so we can plan for next season," Hoddink said.
“It is just speculation, but if the club makes a project with the players they want, then yeah, it’s difficult because I’m going into speculation but on the other hand, Chelsea is a very attractive club to play for.
“All clubs have one year of lesser performances – that doesn’t mean the club is less attractive.”
Hiddink also said in his Friday's press conference that Chelsea need to recover from their Champions League exit at the hands of PSG .
The Dutchman is confident his side can do it and reach the FA Cup semi-finals.
After they lost to Paris St Germain in the first leg with a goal by Super Eagles midfielder John Mikel Obi providing a little hope for the former European champions, the club knocked Manchester City out of the League Cup.
"We've had a difficult loss and we don’t have much time to recover physically and psychologically. It is always a setback and players have to respond," Hiddink stressed..
In injury news, Hiddink says he will make a late decision on the availability of Diego Costa who has a hip problem.
John Terry is in contention to play after training well over the past few days while the club's website confirmed that Eden Hazard is available for the FA Cup game against Everton.Jiji.ng the cheapest online shopping in Nigeria
