By Adeboye Amosu:

The home- based Super Eagles intensified their preparations ahead of the African Nations Championship, edging out Rising Stars Academy 3-0 in a friendly game at the Abuja National Stadium on Thursday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The Eagles goals came from Tunde Adeniji, as well as Ikechukwu Ibenegbu and Samson Gbadebo.

The handlers of the side fielded two teams in each half, with the likes of Adeniji, Paul Onobi, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Ezekiel Bassey starting the game.

It would be recalled that the Eagles were held to a goaless draw by Babayaro FC in their first friendly game since they set up camp in Abuja ahead of CHAN.

The team is expected to depart for South Africa on January 2nd, where they will play two more friendlies against Angola and Cote d'l voire on January 6 and 10 respectively before their first CHAN game against Niger on January 18.
