Home-based Super Eagles captain, Chima Akas, says the side is determined to start their campaign at the African Nations Championship on a positive note, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Eagles will begin their quest to win a first African Nations Championship title when they take on fellow West Africans Niger at the Kigali Regional Stadium on Monday.
The Sharks defender told Completesportsnigeria.com here in Kigali that the Eagles are going for a win against the Mena.
“We are firmly focused on the first game against Niger,” the left-back told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“Our target here is to win the competition, but we want to take it one game at a time.
“In every competition, it’s always important to start on a good note. We not only want to win, but up a fine performance.”
