Nigerian players are determined to secure a place in the last eight of the African Nations Championship in Rwanda despite the delay in the payment of their winning bonuses, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
The Eagles who are looking to win a first CHAN title started their campaign in the competition with a resounding 4-1 victory against next door neighbours Niger on Monday.
The players who are yet to receive their bonuses for the win are however unperturbed and are in good spirit ahead of the next game.
"At the moment the spirit in camp is high and nobody is talking about money because we are certain we will get it at the end of the day.
"We know the money has already been approved, so everyone is concentrated on the task ahead," an influential member of the squad revealed to Completesportsnigeria.com here in Kigali.
Another player also intimated Completesportsigeria.com on their resolve to do well in the competition.
"Our focus is on the next game and not on bonuses or allowances. We want to be heroes by winning the competition and not distract ourselves with something that we know we will surely get."
