Sunshine Stars and Home Eagles defender, Stephen Eze, hopes to secure a contract with Isreali side, MS Ashdod after arriving at the club for trials, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The centre-back was a member of the home-based Super Eagles side that featured at the African Nations Championship in Rwanda.
"One of my dreams as a footballer is to play in Europe and I will do my best to convince the coaches here that I'm worthy of a place in the team," the former Lobi Stars defender told Completesportsnigeria.com from Israel.
"People here have fond memories of the likes of Dele Aiyenugba, Efe Ambrose and Juwon Oshaniwa who have played for the club in the past and it will be great to follow their footsteps.
"I'm ready for the challenge and it is one that will bring out the best in me."
Sunshine Stars have lost some of their key stars this season to clubs within and outside the country, with top scorer Okiki Afolabi also on the verge of sealing a deal with Argentine side, Racing Club.
The trio of Prince Aggreh, Paul Onobi and Tunde Adeniji also left the club at the beginning of the season.
