The France based goalie was reliable in between the sticks for the Super Eagles once again making a vital save towards the end of the first half and organised his defence with great aplomb 7/10
Madu acquainted himself well to the demand of international football in what was his debut game for the three-time African Champions. The Slovak based left back joined the attack at will and also performed his defensive duties with panache.7/10
Inactivity at club level showed in his performance as he was caught out on a number of occasion and struggled at times to adapt to the pace of game.4/10
WILLIAM TROOST EKONG
Put up a good display in his debut game for Nigeria and showed he has what it takes to cement a starting berth in the team. He blocked a goal bound shot on 16 minutes which was major highlight of his performance on the day. 6/10
The Germany based defender like some of his collegues improved in the second half after a lacklustre first half. He showed promise and overlap well but need to show more confidence he is to be a regular in the side. 6/10
Put up a lacklustre performance in his first game in the green and white colour of Nigeria and it was a surprise he stayed on the pitch for the entire duration of the game.4/10
Onazi toiled hard to stamp his authority in the middle of the pack but often times misplaced his passes.His afternoon was summed by a needless red card late in the game which will see him some key games in the qualifier. 5/10
Had a subdued game and failed to lived up to expectations in what was his first game for the Super Eagles since his superlative showing at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. He was duely subbed on the hour mark.4/10
The CSKA Moscow of Russia versatile player struggled to make a meaningful impression in the game. He was far below his best and never get going for the entire duration of the game.5/10
Scored the curtain raiser in what was his best performance for Nigeria.The Warri Wolves who was the only locally based player in the Super Eagles line-up was a thorn in the flesh of the Chadians and justified his selection with a near faultless showing.8/10
Caught a lone figure upfront and was duely subbed-off in the second half. Never really showed he has what it takes to lead the line for Stephen Keshi’s tutored side.4/10
ODION JUDE IGHALO
Made immediate impact by providing the assist for Nigeria’s opening goal. He later won and converted the penalty that made the scoreline 2-0 for his side.6/10
Brought in to steady the midfield that lacked bite and purposefulness for most of the game and he showed promise after he joined the fray on the hour mark.5/10
Helped in protecting Nigeria’s lead following Ogenyi Onazi’s red card.4/10
