English Premier League side Hull City will extend the trial period of former Nigerian international Osaze Odemwingie due to the non-availability of some of their regular players as a result of injuries, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The 35-year-old forward is currently undergoing trials with the Tigers after he was released by Stoke City at the end of last season.
He spent the second half of last season on loan with Championship side Bristol City.
The former Lille of France player replaced Shaun Maloney in the 63rd minute in Hull City's 1-0 friendly win against Mansfield Town on Monday night after training only once with the squad.
Steve Bruce's men are scheduled to play another friendly against Scunthorpe on Saturday.
According to a report in the Hull Daily Mail, Odemwingie will be given another opportunity to impress and stay further than the stipulated one week trial period due to the lack of players in the team.
Meanwhile, Odemwingie has thanked his fans for their support and best wishes.
"Thanks for wishing me good [email protected] Hull City. Read all the tweets. First two days have been wonderful•••," he wrote on his official twitter handle.
