Brendan Rodgers has hinted that teen sensation Jordon Ibe could play in centre midfield in tonight‘s clash against Hull City at the KC stadium.
The Reds boss admits he has been impressed with the 19 year old’s tricky wing play since returning from a loan spell at Derby.
The Kop boss said: “He’s very important because he’s direct and he wants to create and score goals.
“He’s got lovely technique. He could play as a midfield player because he passes the ball really well and has a good idea of the game.
“Since he’s come back from his loan period he’s been really exciting.
“He has worked well. During his spell out injured we missed that pace and penetration. He still has a long way to go in his development but he’s made some exciting steps.
“He takes on board the concepts and principles of the game but he also has this natural talent. He’s not the type of boy you want to over-coach.
“He has to know his function in the team, but he has beautiful balance and can go either way. He’s super- fast and he has lovely technique.
“He loves to be wide and in the duel. As he gains more experience at a great club like this he will only get better.”
