Ideye Hits Goal No7, Enyeama Can’t Stop Nice

Nigeria striker Brown Ideye was on target for Olympiakos in their 3-1 home win against Levadiakos in the Greek league on Sunday.

Ideye opened the scoring in the 16th minute before goals from Felipe Pardo (42nd minute) and Alejandro Dominguez (56th minute), secured the win for Olympiakos.

The goal was Ideye’s seventh in 14 league appearances for Olympiakos this season.

Super Eagles defender Efe Ambrose was in action for Celtic who beat Stranraer 3-0 in the Scottish Cup.

A brace from Leigh Griffiths and Carlton Cole gave Celtic the win.

In the Turkish Cup, Eagles defender Godfrey Oboabona made a 90-minute appearance as Rizespor beat Aydinspor 3-1 in a group D clash.

Former Eagles skipper Vincent Enyeama failed to keep a clean sheet as Lille were held to a 1-1 draw by visiting Nice.

Yassine Benzia put Lille ahead on 10 minutes before Niklas Hult equalised for Nice on the stroke of half time.

In the Portuguese Primera Liga, Eagles defender Abdullahi Shehu was in action for Uniao da Madeira who lost 1-0 away to Rio Ave.

Helder Tiago Guedes got the only goal in the 34th minute.

Shehu later made way for Breitner in the 67th minute of the encounter.

And still Portugal, Nigeria striker Michael Uchebo featured for 90 minutes in Boavista’s 5-0 home loss to FC Porto.

His Nigerian team-mate Reuben Gabriel was an unused substitute while Uche Nwofor was not listed for the game.
